How many chews should I give?

It goes by weight, per the label: 1 chew a day up to 35 lbs, 2 for 35–50 lbs, 3 for 50–75 lbs and 4 over 75 lbs. The label also suggests doubling that amount for the first 4 weeks, then returning to the standard amount. Give it with or after a meal.

How long does a jar last?

At the standard amount, a 60-count jar lasts a 40 lb dog about a month and the 90-count about six weeks. During the first 4 weeks at the doubled amount it goes twice as fast, which is why the 90 count is the better buy to start.

Can I give it with salmon oil?

Is it for older dogs only?

It's for dogs of any age. Owners of large breeds and very active dogs often start early; owners of seniors usually start when they notice the stairs or the jump onto the couch getting slower.
